Privacy Policy
Pet Diary is designed as an on-device journal. This policy explains what the App handles, where information stays, and when Apple or a service you choose may process information.
Effective and updated
Effective date: August 21, 2026
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Pet Diary (the “App”) is provided by CreativeSky (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App does not require an account and does not send your journal content to a developer-operated backend. We do not use advertising, analytics, remote crash reporting or cross-app tracking services.
Information handled by the App
You may choose to create and store:
- Owner profile information such as a display name, region, pet-care experience, biography and profile image.
- Pet profiles such as names, species, breeds, gender, birthdays, adoption dates, colors, weights, personalities and photos.
- Diary content including photos, videos, imported audio, descriptions, activities, moods, dates, favorites, locations and slideshow settings.
- Calendar information such as titles, event types, dates, notes, repeat settings, completion status, associated pets, locations and reminder times.
- Saved places such as a label, description, image, coordinates, accuracy and capture time.
- Preferences such as language, appearance, notification schedules, playback options and favorite-place location settings.
The App may read the device's local time zone to schedule reminders and its installed version number for the About screen. This information is used only for the features you request and is not automatically transmitted to us.
Local storage and processing
Pet Diary stores its database and app-owned media in the App's private storage on your device. Media playback, thumbnails, video sound recording, imported-audio validation and slideshow-video creation are performed on the device.
Pet Diary does not provide its own cloud account, server backup or cloud synchronization. Your operating system may include App data in a device backup depending on your Apple account and backup settings. Apple and your device settings control those backups.
The App relies on the operating system's application sandbox and device security. You should protect your device with an appropriate passcode or biometric lock.
Device permissions
Pet Diary requests permission only for an optional feature you use:
- Camera: capture diary photos or videos and saved-place images.
- Microphone: record sound accompanying videos.
- Photos: browse permitted media, select photos or videos, and save generated post cards or videos. Limited Photos access is supported.
- Location While Using the App: add a requested current-location check-in to a diary entry, event or saved place. Pet Diary does not request background location.
- Notifications: schedule local diary and event reminders, including alerts, sounds and badges.
- Files: choose an audio file through the system picker. Pet Diary receives only the selected file and copies it into private App storage.
You may deny or later revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Features that do not need the denied permission remain available. Notification previews may display diary or event information under your iOS notification-preview settings.
Location and Apple reverse geocoding
When you request a current-location check-in, Pet Diary may use a recent last-known location or request the current location from iOS. On iOS, the App uses Apple's system geocoding service to convert coordinates into a readable place label. Your coordinates and requested language may therefore be processed by Apple and its service providers. We do not receive that request or its result.
The selected location is stored locally. Stored latitude and longitude are rounded to three decimal places; the label, available accuracy, capture time and source may also be stored.
Apple handles its services under its own policies. See Apple Location Services & Privacy and the Apple Privacy Policy. Location access is optional, and other App features remain available if it is denied.
Sharing and saving outside Pet Diary
When you explicitly choose Share, Pet Diary creates a post-card image or uses a generated slideshow video and passes it to the iOS share sheet. The item may visibly include diary content, media, pet or owner display names, dates, captions or other information shown in the preview.
The item is sent only to the app, person or service you select. That destination handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. Content saved to Photos, copied to Files or shared elsewhere becomes an independent copy; deleting the Pet Diary item does not delete those outside copies.
Libraries and platform services
Pet Diary uses open-source libraries and platform plugins for the Flutter interface, local SQLite database and private files, camera, Photos, file selection, video capture, media playback and processing, permissions, local notifications, time-zone access, App version, location, Apple geocoding and the operating-system share sheet.
These components provide App functionality and are not configured by us for advertising, analytics, behavioral profiling or cross-app tracking. Apple services and any destination selected from the share sheet operate under their own policies.
Advertising, analytics and tracking
Pet Diary:
- Does not display third-party advertising.
- Does not access advertising identifiers.
- Does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
- Does not track you across apps or websites.
- Does not use third-party analytics or remote crash reporting.
- Does not sell or rent personal information.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you edit or delete it in the App, or remove the App. When you delete a diary entry, Pet Diary removes its database record and attempts to remove app-owned media no longer referenced elsewhere.
- Deleting a pet does not automatically delete diary entries or calendar events previously associated with that pet.
- Deleting a saved place does not remove a location snapshot already attached to an entry or event.
- Pet Diary does not delete original Photos or Files items.
- Copies saved, exported, backed up by the operating system or shared elsewhere must be deleted separately.
- Uninstalling Pet Diary removes its local container according to iOS behavior, but does not remove outside copies or existing device backups.
Because there is no Pet Diary account or developer-operated database, we do not hold a server-side copy of your journal data that can be retrieved or deleted by contacting us.
Support communications
If you contact us for support by email, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. This information is collected outside the App by the email services used by you and CreativeSky. We use it only to investigate and respond to your request and to meet applicable legal or security obligations.
Please avoid sending private diary content, precise location information, photos or videos unless they are necessary and you choose to provide them.
This support website
These public support pages are static and do not load analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote fonts or third-party scripts. The website host may process standard connection information under its own privacy practices when delivering the pages.
Children's privacy
Pet Diary is a general-audience pet journaling tool and is not directed specifically to children. It has no public profiles, messaging, account registration, advertising or behavioral tracking. Because App content remains on the device, we do not knowingly receive children's in-app content.
A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of device permissions and sharing. If you believe a child sent personal information through a support email, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy if Pet Diary's features or data practices change. A revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date, and we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
